Ice Age Trail (Scuppernong, Waterville & Lapham Peak Segments)

What a hike!  I miscalculated this by almost 5 miles.  Near the end I felt like Leonardo Dicaprio in "The Revenant" only I didn't wrestle a bear, kill some Brits or hide from Indians...so never mind.  Add to it that I didn't get to listen to anything the whole time so my battery wouldn't die, and this trip was just crazy. Not my favorite segments, but come spring and summer, I'm sure it's  great trail.  Just too much mud and ice.  This is gonna hurt for a while!

Ice Age Trail (Eagle & Stony Ridge Segments)

Man do I love it that the snow is gone!  These two segments were filled with a lot of prairie and wet areas, and with the snow having now melted it made it a wet mess, but it was great!  So many animals were out, especially the Sandhill Cranes and spring peepers and I believe I did see an eagle during the "eagle segment."  I also almost stepped on a craw dad.  So good to be out!
